B. Bangor is a bit wet, and the humidity makes for a kind of close feeling to the surrounds, feeling hotter, colder, and more aromatic than dryer climates. But wet or dry, no continental climate is for the weak-hearted. Definitely the summer heat waves are dreadful, but especially at the cooler range such climates a quite beautiful - easy in spring, verdant in summer, blazing red in autumn, and white in winter. I enjoy every month were I live, and look forward to the turning of each season.

An A climate for having good precipitation, mild summers, decent snowfall and being seasonal. Bangor of course is also a beautiful area ::

I give it a B+. If it was a little bit less humid and a tad bit less cloudy it would grab an A. It is a solid 4-season climate and more manageable than what most people think of when they think of New England climates.

87.7% / B+

Its only real shortcoming is summers that are too cool.

Much worse than Southern New England imo, it has good precip and still gets interesting storms in the winter but summers are on the bland side and winters are harsh with little warmth in transition seasons, probably a borderline C-/D+, July and August are still decent and winter highs aren't brutally severe. Boston/Providence/Hartford are a lot better imo, good climates except for spring lag issues and a bit too humid summers.

Winters with average highs below freezing and lots of snow, summers where the average never gets to 80? D

B+. It is a decent climate, acceptable (though not exceptional) in every aspect; but the main problem is that the winters are simply too warm.

There are better places just a bit further north, like Presque Isle and Caribou, which I would grade as A-.
