Fairbanks finally dipped below -10 F/ 23 C for the first time so far this season for an official low of -11 F. Still that’s nothing to write home about in a subarctic climate, as they are accustomed to having lows of -40 or colder most winters.

Ended up getting down to 30F this morning with a good amount of frost. Up to 61F as of 1 PM (dewpoint of 30F) with a clear sky.

Forecast to warm up to 71-72F tomorrow and Monday which is about the normal high. Looking like strong cold front may arrive Monday evening.

Bridgeport, CT max today was 40°.
Under 41° max doesn't usually happen this early being near the water.
Only in 1962, 2012, 1995, 1971, 1969, 1953 it happened before Nov 10th, out of 71yrs of records.

NYC max temp was 41° today. Thats twice this season so far staying under 42°. Last time that happened before Nov 10th was 1976. 43 yrs ago.

So here is the latest snowfall estimates for Sunday night into Monday. ORD might see 4" with the expected lake enhancement but that's tricky to forecast

I put this together

All U.S locations that dropped below or within 2° of their record low for the date yesterday.

3 records were set. 6 tied including Islip, Bangor, Worcester, Bridgeport & JFK. Hartford missed by 1°.
I see Alabama in there.

Today will be a very pleasant 65 high, 45 low sunny fall day here in the ozarks, which is a far cry from tomorrow which will be a morning high in the low 40's, dropping into the 20's during the day with sleet and snow.
