Uh no, not common because the South usually has more soil moisture at this time of year that would prevent temperatures from heating above 95 degrees. It is only one factor, though.

Usually it's hot but this has been unusual. The average highs in September start to back down to the mid-80s by the end if the month, and the literally nonstop 90s+ is anomalously warm. Last September was actually very similar.

Göle had a low of 1°C today, which was the lowest temperature recorded in Turkey today.

Provincial capital of Ardahan had a low of 5.4°C and a lot of official met stations recorded colder lows than it as usual.

Coldest lows in Turkey today:

So much dew on ground this morning. Low of 50s, high of 70s. Perfect grass growing pattern.

Temps this morning... check out that Huge Ball over Washington state! Upper Low. I better see those over the Northeast soon!

Started a thread on the big snowstorm

Or the cries about a natural occurrence being "an emergency and has to be fixed". They need to either learn history or find a hobby.

More blazing 90's and no chance for real rain for 6+ days. This will be one of the most dry Sept's for most of FL. But won't be as dry as Sept 2006 when i only had .80" for the whole month. There will be no fall again this year for my part of FL like the last 9 years.

Data points all spell it out very clearly. There will be significant warming going forward in time and weather disasters will be in the trillions. That is why massive institutional investment is going to no/ low carbon technologies so get used to it.

Once again, for today, it will be as if someone cut and pasted the weather from late July into our forecast. The continued hot weather will be courtesy of an upper anticyclone that builds across the southeastern states, supporting weak high pressure. Ignore the calendar and you will know what to expect...that being seasonally hot temps that may flirt with records once again

That guy won't wake up and face the sad fact the planet is warming faster and faster and sea level rise will cause big problems within 30 years. My weather records tell it all since i started keeping records in the 70's. My snow ball effect is getting faster and faster as more ice melts at a more rapid rate over time. 12 ft sea level rise within 70 years for some parts the planet.
