Well we got some rain this weekend, but it was very light. Maybe .1" in some areas.

Here's a map of September temps in Austin. Hottest September in 150 years. The cold front brought some rain but dissipated and not the ridge is settling back in. ACL (Austin City Limits) will be hot this year. It's this upcoming weekend.

Skilling's forecast anomalies look a little off. Seems like the latest seven day shows below average temps for Friday and Saturday. Skilling's graph has just slightly below temps on Friday and +1F on Saturday Average high/low temp at ORD for October 5th is 67F/46F

Record highs are forecast for us the next few days. Around 90 today and tomorrow and 89 Wednesday. The record high for today and tomorrow is 89 and the record for Wednesday is 88. Then back near to slightly above normal in the 70s Thursday followed by temps only in the 60s Friday through the weekend! We did manage to get a good quarter inch or so of rain yesterday. Which is good because once again there is barely any rain in the 7 day forecast.

After 5 months here in Leipzig, Germany, close to the middle part of Europe, I'm heading back to the USA tomorrow. September has been a mild month here, most days with afternoon temps in the low-mid 20s C (low-mid 70s F). Overnight temps have also been mild, around 12-15C/55-60F. The wind has been ripping all day, and it feels like the first blast of autumn air will arrive soon. The skies are clear and the sunset looked really nice.

It's a rainy day here around D.C., cloudy with temps not far above 70. First rainy day in some time. I am not a fan.
