We should actually see some sunshine today with temperatures back closer to what is normal for mid-January in the low to mid 30s. Tomorrow evening will see some snow that transitions to freezing rain and sleet and finally to all rain sometime after midnight and then rain much of the day on Saturday. A dusting to a half inch of snow possible, maybe up to an inch further north, then maybe a very light glaze of ice, probably not even .05 inches. But we could see a half inch to an inch of rain Saturday.

Then it gets cold but sunny through Wednesday. After being near 50F on Saturday, Sundays high is barely in the low 20s. We rebound into the mid-30s by midweek.

Friday we're expecting snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain all within a 12-hour window in Kansas and Missouri. How exciting for the drive to work...

About to raise the white flag and just toss this winter into the garbage.. It looks as if the incoming cold blast will not have any legs.

Can't say that I'm shocked. Chicago is currently seeing an anomaly of +9.1F. Now we will give back some of those positive temps over the next few days but what happens by the end of next week? Another torch set up???

Not sure what you’re all going on about. Forecast looks cold and unpleasant for the next 2 weeks in the East.

Maybe for the next 10 days or so IF that, but....

Back in NYC today; it's +7C and there's some kind of frozen precip falling outside (sleet mixed with rain?). Interesting, but it probably won't last long.

We are finally getting some snow in north-central Vermont...I'd say a good 6" so far today and more on the way this weekend. Plus some nice cold temps for a bit as well. Who knows if it will last but I'll take it for now...
