The incoming cold pattern and snow will not last long. Simple as that. What a joke of a winter.
Only problem is that I bet we will have a solid 3 months of cold come spring and then followed by a lame and wet summer as usual these last couple of years

We get six inches of snow on Halloween, very cold in November with snow on Thanksgiving then NOTHING for 6 weeks??

I know the feeling - when I lived in Chiraq, about a decade ago, there was this -allegedly- historic storm (3rd worst) yet it was actually very mild (by Montana standards anyway - where such storm was but a mere footnote in news).

If you need to feel proper cold, just take a stroll along LSD - it never disappoints in winter. Plus, for some inexplicable reason, while in summer the place is packed, when it hits -25C, it's abandoned and you got LSD just for yourself

The windchill there has this Deep Thrust that enters the bone marrow and explosively rejuvenates from inside - very similar to when you step out of the 100F sauna and jump into ice-cold water, yet you get to keep the clothes on

If you want a proper winter, you should just move to Montana. Or North Dakota. The Legendary

0.17" of rain last 24 hours. Pitiful. Rain tomorrow, let's hope it accumulates more than this. 56F, have my sweater on.

Looking around the nation: Seattle is 45 and partly cloudy, Sacramento is 45 and heavy rain, LA is cloudy and 59, Dallas is 54, Chicago is 23 (cold there), NYC is 39, Boston is 36.

In the warm sector, Phoenix is 64, Houston is 72 and humid (the front never made it through there), Miami is 75 and clear.

If there is a word for the weather today, it is "seasonal".

Now that is a map i buy. Record hi in Tampa at 86f today. Within 15 years many 90's will be seen in my area during the winter at the rate it is heating up.
