Asheville at 2200' in NC reporting light snow. looks like some mixing and snow in the mountains of Georgia too.

Huge Upper Low carrying cold pool of air (nothing crazy though)

Also, interesting to note this Upper Low moved SOUTH over past 12hrs after moving East for 2 days.

This weekend we were down in southwestern Indiana where they had a lot of rain Saturday. A lot of fields underwater and even had a couple thunderstorms come through. Yesterday on the drive home, it was raining and snowing despite a temp around 40. Today is just another cold, overcast day in Indianapolis.

The next 5 day official forecast for Göle is magnificent with the expected low of -23°C on friday.

The time is very early now. I will be going there when it is colder the next month myself. Göle is an amazingly cold place. This winter will be my third winter in Göle.

The CPC is predicting an above normal December for my area (and most of the country): https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/produc...off15_temp.gif

The upcoming forecast looks appropriately mild and boring. It figures that September would be a continuation of summer, then we'd have wintry weather when we should get nice fall weather, and then it would go to cool and boring right when cold weather is most wanted.

We dodged the snow in SE PA but it'll be cool this week but not too much below normal temps . We should hit 50 for a brief period next week then get cold again. We hit 40 degrees today.
