Looks like we will be on the warmer side for the most part until at least the middle of January

It's about time the East gets the warmth and the West gets the cold. It's usually the other way around.

Alaska just hit -65F. It's in the 60's in Austin under sunny skies.

Mild on East Coast. Chicago is 36 and NYC is 46. Miami is 81.

West Coast is cool because of trough but Santa Ana winds blowing from East so LA is 73, warmer than Phoenix at 63.

2pm January 3, 2020. No snowstorm over 2" still and none next 2 weeks.

I'll take my clouds and chilly 40s after looking 400 miles south of here. 80s in North Carolina!

50s in Norfolk Virginia while 70s just over the border.

Got quite a bit of rain yesterday. 2.77" between Wednesday night and this morning. Some thunder during periods of heavier rainfall. Flash flood warnings were issued along a band to my south and east extending into MS with over 6 inches in spots.

Don't think the sun has been out since the start of the new year. Might be some clearing later today. 62F right now.

Fog has gotten pretty thick up here on the north side of Indianapolis in the past hour or so. Hard to tell but I'd guess visibility is down to less than a mile in places. It should dissipate overnight as rain moves in, though.

I agree that while climate change is real, I disagree that humans are the cause. The pole shift is the true cause of climate change IMHO.
