October in my area was quite peculiar: a cold start, a mild middle section and a cool end again, with an unwontedly strong storm and rather early season snow/slush fall at the very end of the month.
In general daily temperature mean was +1.0c above average, sunshine hrs were below average (about 75 % of overage) and precipitation was noticeably above average.
Higest high 17.9c (on 16th), lowest low -4.5c (on 30th).

Chicago/ORD ended up below normal this October by more than -1.5F. Our lakeshore station in downtown Chicago was -3.5F below average. That makes 7 out of 10 months here in 2019 below average and as of now this November is shaping up to see the biggest departure from average. of course below

My nearest station IKK has yet to finalize the monthly data so I'll post it when it's available.

October ended up close to average. Well above average temps the first week of the month. First cold front of the season came on Oct 7. Pretty decent afterward with temps were mostly below to near average, with just a couple of brief warm-ups.

Had some days with heavy rain and thunder, but didn't really get any intense storms.

Highest min: 72F
Lowest max: 55F

Highest dewpoint: 75F
Average dewpoint: 59F
Lowest dewpoint: 30F

Days with thunder: 7

Perth Metro summary October 2019:

An above average, sunny and drier than average month. Overall pretty great.

High Max: 36.5C (27th)
Mean Max: 24.0C (+0.6C)
Low Max: 17.9C (31st)

Mean: +0.55C

High Min: 16.7C (28th)
Mean Min: 12.1C (+0.5C)
Low Min: 6.5C (15th)

BoM somehow mis-measured one day (4-5th) when all the rain came through. Fortunately Perth Airport has very similar rainfall so I've given it Perth's airport's october rainfall.
Rainfall: 23.0mm (53% of average 43.0mm). BoM says the estimated for Perth Metro is 27.8mm so that would be 72% of average 38.8mm which makes sense.
Rain days: 7 (-2.2 days)
Sun: 307.3 hours
Hrs/day: 9.9/day (+0.4/day)

Jandakot October 2019...a station that actually recorded its rainfall

High Max: 36.4C (27th)
Mean Max: 23.9C (+1.0C)
Low Max: 17.1C (31st)

Mean: +0.75C

High Min: 16.3C (20th)
Mean Min: 10.3C (+0.5C)
Low Min: 4.3C (15th)

Rainfall: 36.4mm (79% of average 46.0mm)
Rain days: 7 (-2 days)
Sun: 307.3 hours

I will adjust my climate box for the end of the year to include the 27.8mm estimated because it seems right. Or maybe do both boxes...the 27.8mm and the Perth airport october rainfall.

October in London had average temperatures and was very wet. It was also in the top 5 cloudiest Octobers on record, with fewer sun hours than a typical November!
