I hate Lima's climate as much as I love Honda Accords. I calculated that, on average, it takes Lima 8.68 YEARS to get as much rain as fell on the day that I first rode in a 2020 Accord where I was (Bowling Green, KY).

Anyway,

OKC
Albuquerque
Santa Cruz
Lima

Bonus points: see if you can figure out what date that was. Your hint is that Lima gets 0.25" of rain per year, so multiply 0.25" by 8.68...

Coldest month for Lima Peru = 66f/59f
Hottest month for Lima Peru = 81f/69f
(These are averages)
It's on the coast so there's nice breezes to cool you down, too
Doesn't seem hellish to me. To each his own

Albuquerque first, OKC , Santa Cruz, Lima. Putting in dismal Lima is a sick joke to me.

Lima - warm but dull
Albuquerque - nice but chilly winters
OKC - same as ABQ

Not keen on any of them since they are all on the dry side.

I like Lima's lower sunlight hours but don't like the low variation in temperatures and lack of precipitation.

Oklahoma City does better with seasonality and precipitation but has crappy hot summers. Still, they aren't as horrid as other places.

Santa Cruz doesn't have an issue with summer heat but is dry and doesn't have seasonality.

Albuquerque is also very dry and on the hot side but does at least have some seasonality and good dinural ranges during the winter and fall months.

LOL it really is a toss up. I guess I would have to go with Oklahoma City for being wetter, more seasonality, and more potential for interesting weather like storms.

1) Oklahoma City
2) Lima
3) Albuquerque
4) Santa Cruz

1. Santa Cruz: B-, good winters, summers too cool, not enough thunderstorms
2. Oklahoma City: B-/C+, winters a bit too cold, summers a bit too hot, too many tornadoes
3. Albuquerque: C+, winters too cold, good summers, too dry
4. Lima: D+, too little seasonal variation, way too dry, way too cloudy
