This climate is based on a Southern California climate, except there is notably more rainfall. There are a few other small changes, but I’d like to hear everyone’s thoughts. I would give it a D. Th higher rainfall is a plus, but temps are still too hot and it is also too sunny.

A+!

Winters are warm, bordering on very warm, and almost fully freeze-free. Summers, while hot and not completely dry, aren't as hot as my area and are still very dry. Winters are even less gloomy than mine. The mean annual temperature is HOT rather than just warm like my area (as in it would qualify for BSh or BWh if it were arid). Yet the winters are still just wet enough to stop everything from drying out despite all that.

If I lived in a climate like that, I'd probably grow a massive California Fan Palm in my backyard with a Blue Spruce alongside it and European Fan Palm nearby. Maybe even a Chilean Wine Palm too if I tried coconuts and decided I liked them.

C+ for me, too hot in general but I like the percip and overall sunshine. I bet a place at 4,000 feet near here would be great

Summers are hot and sunny, but not humid. Winters cool down enough for there to be enough seasonality, but aren’t cold which is great. The additional rainfall in the winter months also helps to add some variability to this climate.

B. LA's biggest downside is the lack of reliable rain so this fixes that (provided the minimum annual rainfall isn't too low)
