Still waiting on the transition from Brown to Green. Cambium must be close now, all the way up to NYC and a bit north. SE Pennsylvania as usual is the first to be green in our state. A cool April has really delayed the green up.
And you live in the “Banana Belt” in southern Indiana lol
I live at a higher elevation compared to just about any area of southern Indiana. My climate zone is a somewhat warmer version of Bloomington, IN. My climate zone is not similar to Louisville as I am more than double the elevation of that area.

We are slightly green on Long Island. Still a lot of bare trees, but also a lot of half-bloomed trees. Tulips are coming out this week, and overall things are definitely a different color than January. The past couple weeks has definitely slowed down the process though, and I'm not complaining by any means.
I was checking out the soil temperature maps today because I just planted some grass seed, and I need soil temperatures of 50F or higher for germination. This is the map I was looking at:
It is very surprising to me that the northern plains have much higher soil temperatures than my location right now, despite me being much further south and warmer in the winter. A couple cold fronts have recently come through my area (bringing a good deal of rain), but I guess it just goes to show how much quicker dry soils heat up when compared to moist soils.
Right now it is 58F here and overcast with a dew point of 52F (83% humidity). Nice weather for grass growing, although it would help if it were a little bit warmer, like the lower 60s.
Maybe get some rain Fri am. Hope the front gets stuck so i can get 3" + to make up for a very dry 5 months.
Seems like it's been raining since 4am. You must be pretty pleased?
