Very little signs of any spring in central Indiana except for longer days. A few daffodils are just starting to poke their tips above the soil line, as are some crocuses, although even the crocuses aren’t far along enough to bloom so far(IIRC the earliest I ever remember seeing crocuses bloom here was in mid to late February and that was only after an exceptionally mild January) I would say that the crocuses won’t start blooming in the Indianapolis area until the last week of February or the first week of March at the earliest depending on the weather the next two or three weeks.

Oh I know it's been ridiculous. I installed a weather station late June 2016 so I have data for Spring 17-19. Of just those 3 years, the March avg high is exactly the same as Feb (65). The avg low for March is actually cooler! 43 vs 41. That's really not the issue though. What really hurts is that each of the last 3 Marches have recorded lows in the mid 20s. Just a light freeze would be bad enough.

When it snowed on Wednesday, some of that snow fell on flowers that had already bloomed, but they were all planted flowers Some of the grass looks a bit greener than it usually is in winter, and a few trees have just started budding. But overall, it still looks like winter, and probably will for another month.
