Been a very pleasant spring so far but looks like we’re about to get a blast of arctic air on Sunday. Temps expected to drop from 18C on Saturday to 7C on Sunday.

Fortunately, this only looks like it will last for a couple of days before warming up again.

From 24C tomorrow down to 13C on Sunday here in the South, doesn't make any difference when you're stuck inside anyway :-(

That’s true, fortunately I can sit in the back garden and enjoy some of the nice weather when I’m not at work. I feel sorry for those people who are unable to through no fault of their own though!

It will be all be worth it when we’re out of lockdown hopefully.

Palermo recorded 39,4°C/103°F today.(38,5°C yesterday)
Some kind of Foehn effect. Hottest Temps along the Northern Coast.

Some agricultural Weather stations hitting 40°C along the northern coast there yesterday.

Some Intense Heat is forecasted for Turkey and Greece the next few days.
Temperatures may possibly hit 44°C in some parts of Western Turkey (like Aydin).

It was hottest in the north of Malta today too with 34C recorded at the Met Office station in Selmun

Like last night we are seeing a weird increase in temperature at night too, last night some stations saw the temperature rise 6C in 20 minutes. These are the current temperatures at 22:20:

Still mostly seasonal here. More humid since yesterday, we had a 14c dp today, which is pretty normal, but feels humid after weeks of super dry weather and dps around 0-5c.

Its been a veey sunny dry and (mostly) warm Spring here so far, I say mostly because the first half of this week saw winds coming straight down from the Arctic giving the coldest May night for 40 years (barely above freezing). It's only the high sun angle and the cloudless skies that made it warm up during the days (even then Tuesday's high was just 12 degrees Centigrade!) More seasonal in the week coming up though (if not a bit warmer than seasonal) with temperatures back up to the mid 20's Centigrade (mid seventies Farenheight).

Possible first 30c high next week. Summer is coming, and the grass is already yellowish... :/

Honestly hard to believe some of you guys have sizzling heat already. Because here in Northern Europe there is no summer in sight and it even feels likes spring never came.
Estonia had no winter, no spring (last week was spring like, but thats it) and will probably have no proper summer either. It's our 8th month of October-like weather.
