Hot again today in Malta, Dingli on the west coast had a high of 35C,( almost equalling the May record high at the airport), it's still 32C there now tonight.

Estonia had no winter, no spring (last week was spring like, but thats it) and will probably have no proper summer either. It's our 8th month of October-like weather.

Winter was almost non existent here and spring was supremely dry and sunny and with mostly above average weather. The trend just continues although I'd say this May has been pretty seasonal.

Still, so little rain in the last few months. But November was crazy rainy, we had like 300 mm of rain.

We had a very mild Winter but lots of rain, several storms that damaged the garden fence. Spring has been mostly sunny and warm with very little rain - particularly since lockdown!

Yeah I suppose most of western Europe has been under a mild trend for months now. Where are the Greeks and Ukrainians on this board ? Usually when the west is warm. the east gets cool.

You guys in the west are so lucky that you got a milder winter and also a pleasant spring. As far as I know, the far South-East(Greece, Turkey, Cyprus) is also experiencing a heat wave. Its really just the North-East (Ukraine, Belarus, Poland Baltics, Finland, Russia) that has has a very cold spring.

I feel for you, there’s nothing worse than not getting at least a half decent spring after the miserable winters we get at our northerly latitudes. There seems to have been a constant ridge of high pressure set up around Western Europe this spring (although it was too far north last week and brought some cold air) which has resulted in many warm and sunny days here.

Today is officially the hottest day of the year so far in the UK so far with temperatures reaching 28.3C... in northern Scotland of all places!

Annoyingly, it’s much cooler (19C) here due to a cr*ppy easterly breeze coming off the North Sea. The warm and sunny weather looks to be coming to an end midway through next week, which is just typical of early June to be honest. The last few years have seen summer start with wet and below average conditions.

Overall, spring is has been great weather wise and it’s now been confirmed that it’s the sunniest spring ever recorded.

Yeah typical Northern Europe weather with the cold shots just in time for June...

But according to this analogue year based forecast you guys in the UK should be in for a pretty good summer...

Here in Eastern Europe we will probably get the short end of the stick. I have a feeling that this high pressure to the West/ low pressure to the East split that has set up this spring will continue all throughout summer.

The weather is going to get a bit more seasonal as June comes in here. Not much rain forecast for the next couple of weeks (two days with a chance of showers) but the temperature drops to the low twenties and even a couple of days only 18 and 19C. Long range forecast for the second half of June is for the South to get hot, the North to be a bit more 'changeable'. Of course long range forecasts are not as accurate as short range ones!
