Is there a universal standard for Europe to measure precip days? I see UK uses 1mm but then I'm looking at Brussels just as a for instance and it uses 0.005"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brussels#Climate

Copenhagen uses 0.1mm
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copenhagen#Climate

Then other European cities don't even list the threshold. Does it vary from country to country?

I have AC, however it's not an HVAC system, it's a noisy wall unit. I can't run that while I work in case I have to make a call or take a call. I grew up without AC or even fans in Europe, open windows is all we did for hot weather, so that's always going to be my go-to option. As long as the indoor temp is under 80 degrees I'm fine during the day.

I do usually run the AC at night before bed for an hour or two because I like it to be a bit cooler than that when I sleep, but that's it.

Good it has been way too hot in the Uplands of southern Indiana. I've had several days above 90 degrees,(quite hot for this elevation and densely wooded area), and it has been drying out quickly.

I had a portable unit for a few weeks when my HVAC broke down, it was simple to install and just as quiet as my HVAC unit. I keep my thermostat at 76 during the day and 73 at night, and even that is pushing it.
Today is predicted to be slightly cooler with a high of just 86 F, but a dew point if 72 feels quite nasty.

Seems like forever ago that I was commenting on how slow the start of summer was for us.
Not sure if I believe my own PWS but we just hit 93.4 with a DP of 79. Heat index 111.7.
I don't know if that's entirely accurate, but it's definitely hot out.

Supposedly could get mid-upper 90s next week
