Yesterday wasn't bad. Temps climbed to 87F but the dewpoint stayed mostly in the upper 50s so warm but not really humid. Today will be different. Highs near 90F and dewpoints should rise into the mid to upper 60s. A slight risk for severe thunderstorms as well for our whole area as a cold front comes through this evening.
Uncomfortably humid morning for the Lake Huron region. Not used to humid nights in the mid 70’s. It’s usually around 55 here at night during the summer, so I typically don’t need AC. But, the AC was running all night long to keep the house at a comfortable level.
Could feel a hint of mugginess creeping in this morning. DP nearing 70. Should be in the upper 80s today.
I looked at last May and KPDK had 9 or 10 days hit 90. So far this year, none with none in sight.

I'm by the Ohio River, but only need to run AC half of the day because I have massive trees that keep my roof shaded 2/3 of the day during the warmer months which is a huge advantage.

For some reason, my AC unit runs more often during the night than the day. There are pretty large trees behind me which provide shade in the morning and afternoon. But in the evening it gets really hot since up front is just a lawn and driveway.
