Summer analogs according to Bastardi based on the MJO. 2003 was NOT a warm summer here. 2017 and 2018 were nothing special either. Obviously 2012 skewes the analogs

Almost 1pm 73f with a cool breeze Fresno
If winds pick up by 4pm, I don't think we get to the 80s.

I think you'd like them here cause they bring a gift called the marine layer with them. It makes it feel like you're at the beach when we have a strong event
I like 90f days, but I like it even more when we don't need AC.

Yeah we can get hot days with wind, hot wind actually makes it feel hotter. For some reason I figured that Fresno was too far inland for the marine layer. I know Sacramento gets it. Do you ever get summer fog or just the cool ocean breeze from the marine layer?
I remember the cafes alongside the Pacific north of SF always had those plexiglass walls to protect from the wind, did a good job. I like a light wind maybe 5 mph. Anything too strong and it blows stuff around while you're sitting on the patio.
How many more Top 10 days can we get? SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!!!!!! So far so good!
These were the 2pm Observations. Look at those Dews. WOW
Note Mt Washington Temp. 32°. That tells us what type of airmass is in place. Look at the 850mb temps. That's at 5000'. 30s. It's a cool one for this time of year and the NW flow is drying us out. No humidity.
Here is the 5000' temp anomaly this morning. Well below normal
Here is why.... Jet Stream is dipping south. And guess where it's rising North? Central US Canada. It's in the 90s in North Dakota right now.
It's going to be lovely out west these next 3 days.

It was kinda chilly for summer today morning, but warmed up to 70 now.
