22C is cool for NYC but the normal high for the middle of June is not 30C+ and neither are the lows 22C. Not even in the middle of July is that the average. For mid June it's about 26-27C

More humid and more convective activity than was expected the beginning of this week so far. Isolated t-storms in the area today (I got 0.03" of rain). High today was 92F and dewpoint got up to 75F this evening. Tomorrow might be similar to today.

JFK airport has averaged 85/71 F in July in the last 20 years. I believe that’s close to 30/22. Such weather starts becoming commonplace in mid to late June and extends till end of August, sometimes beginning of September. You have a couple of cooler nights that are in the upper 50’s and low 60’s, but it’s usually in the low 70’s for much of summer during the night.
