I don't love -16°C by any means. I just hate being hot. I like winter much better than summer, but I think it's because I live in Saint-Petersburg. If I lived in Yakutsk or Norilsk, I think I would hate winter and love summer or spring. How many people are true cold lovers vs. simply people who like comfortably cool and dislike being hot?

I hate heat, especially humid heat. I'm most comfortable in anything below about 83 degrees (Fahrenheit) and can even live with 90-92, but here in the Midwestern United States, moderate to high humidity is a part of summer and it can make conditions miserable.
Two years living in the Houston area turned me against hot and humid summers for good. At least here in Ohio where I've lived most of my life, you know there will be an end to those conditions and the majority of the year actually is not all that humid.

Both, but loving cold is by far the more important one.

I love winter days 10-25 F with snow on the ground. Don't love <0 F temps but I tolerate them better than most.

That said, I dislike high dew points more than I like winter. The Midwest is starting to feel like a bad trade-off in that regard...
