Today will be one for the record books! Forecast high is 98°F, which will beat the record high of 93°F set in 2001, and beat the all time November high of 96°F, set 11/1/1924,11/1/2020,11/2/1924&11/3/2009!

Averages today are 82°F/58°F

Wow. Low 80s in South Dakota yesterday

Skilling says abnormally warm temps will hang around here for another six days before returning back to normal

https://twitter.com/Skilling/status/...011278848?s=20

The Euro says we will state a good deal above normal in the 6-10 day as well. Skilling's graphic doesn't show that. He must be either using the GFS or a blend of the Euro and GFS

GFS has an overall similar pattern but not quite as warm for the western Lower Great Lakes

Dropped to 63°F between hours, so no record max low after all. Still going to hit a record high this afternoon though

Yesterday began what could be a string of seven 70F+ days. Today is the question mark. If clouds still around all day, will we be able to make it to 70? The forecast high is 68. Yesterday's forecast high was also in the 60s but we got up to 72. That was will cloudless skies, though, so we'll see. We'll also be close to record highs Sunday and Monday. Forecast high is currently 74F both days while the record for both days is 76F.

Record high was set in 2007, not 2001. Mistake fixed

Lots of records challenged out west today

I find it incredible that South Dakota can hit 80 degrees on multiple days in November

Temps begin to crash out west. Only in the 60s in Phoenix by Sunday??

Almost as if the climate is somehow changing.

Don't know what that kind of phenomena would be called though.

With the Plains it's always just a matter where exactly the boundaries are..there's just nothing there to impede the flow one way or another. Get snow in September, 80s in November, it's all possible.
