Also the reality is that the weather in Florida has changed since I've been here. I've only been here 14 years and the change in November/December in the last 5 years especially has been really apparent.

If it carries on this way, the days of no AC in January/February could seriously be under threat and the tropical weather season could end up being longer.
It is gonna heat up even faster the next 15 years. I have been here since i was born in the 60's and seen a unreal change since 1990. Ever since 2011 the rate of heating has been unreal and normal summertime pattern has flipped flopped to a west flow 89% of the summer and that means very little for me being right on the gulf while were you are at will see 2 or 3 times the rain i get since you get rain with a east or west flow.

Just the last 5 years have been even worse on heating in the fall thru spring. It will be upper 80's and 90's year round within 15 to 30 years at the rate of the heating we are seeing. Just look at Oct and Nov the last 5 years as Oct is the hottest ever year after year. This Oct was the hottest ever and next will be even hotter.

1.43" of rain past 2 days. I got a thick carpet of leaves down. Pretty much bare trees now except the Oaks and few others. Temp dropped during the day yesterday from 60s in the morning to 50s in the afternoon. Felt great!

I agree. 2010 was the last decent winter we had, barely used the AC between Christmas and the end of April.

Well Europe might get cold soon

For the US the models are sending mixed messages. Latest Euro run is colder than the overnight runs

but the latest GFS cycle run is warmer than the overnight runs LOL

Another beautiful day! Went out for a drive. Can tell leaves are coming off quickly. Seems a little early. I blame all the rain and wind we've had the last couple of weeks.

Interesting. Here a rainy fall means leaves stay on longer.

Atlanta is a significantly wetter climate than Winnipeg Manitoba in all fairness., so a Winnipeg resident and an Atlanta resident’s perception of a rainy fall can be quite a huge deviation in perspective....

I never saw a winter like 2010 with three solid months of highs in the 40's and 50's. We had colder temps during the super freezes of the 1980's with lows of 19, 21,22 in Tampa year after year in the 80's. But never had such cold weather for weeks at a time like 2010. It was a freak setup as 1990 until 2010 saw warm winters and BOOM we had Atlanta highs for 3 months. DEC 2010 was our last cold month and since then it has screamed up so much on the heat that even i can't understand or figure the rate of massive heating that is taking place. If the next 5 years heat up as much as the last 5 then we are in big trouble.

Chilly day here in Chicagoland. High was 46F at both airports and 43F here in the far south suburbs. It was sunny though...
