Cooler than Chicago, nice.
Phoenix hit 100f today, that's their 142th 100f of the year. More could be coming.
Ouch.

Great day. High was 82F here and at both city airports

Temps may touch 80F again tomorrow but a cold front coming off the lake will cool things down quite a bit in the afternoon

Could tell there's a lot more development in foliage. Still not widespread, but it's definitely evident Fall is here.

Rain fromDelta arrived a little ahead of schedule. We're gonna be seeing rain through Sunday evening. Nasty weekend but temps won't be bad. My windows have been open continuously since yesterday. Probably will leave them open til I leave next weekend.

Why is tonight hotter than the daytime . Indeed odd for this time of the year. Will I see a 80 F high tomorrow at 8 AM. That would feel absolutely disgusting for October. We hardly see 80 F mornings in July. I hate hot nights in general, and even more so during the fall.

Quite the opposite here, with solid cold this October, much like we had last year but even colder infact, and with ample rainfall. Hasn't even been above 60°F this month (nor last October), usually it should manage at least 65°F.

The solar minimum might have something to do with this abnormal weather. Or maybe the Gulf Stream is really beginning to fail more and more over time.

I'll be moving very soon if that happens, not a fan of cold winters!

Yeah my wife and younger son are going to Phoenix on Wednesday and staying until Halloween. I told her to pack lots of sunscreen and her swim suit

Major extra-tropical cyclone will affect the Kivalliq region of Nunavut and northern Manitoba starting on Monday into Tuesday. Depending upon how much warm air gets advected this could produce anything from record rainfall to blizzard conditions or anything in between.

Subsequently operational GFS and ECMWF runs along with ensembles to bring a significant upper-level trough settling into central North America next weekend and persisting into the following week.
