Meteorological fall is less than one month away, so I figured I’d start a discussion thread since one hasn’t been done yet. Please feel free to discuss your early thoughts on what might happen in your neck of the woods.
Going to get temps above 85 until sometime in mid September. Only after that fall will truly begin because the AC can remain turned off.
There is a heat advisory in the northeast and west for 100+ temps. Other than the upper Midwest, do you really think fall is anywhere close to beginning ?

Depends on your definition of “Upper Midwest”. Would you consider your location as such? Would you consider the Indianapolis Area part of the upper Midwest? I know some years consistently hot weather ends not long after the first week of September at least in Indianapolis.
Days are definitely getting shorter and late August usually cools off already, so fall is really only a few weeks away here. But as always, I hope that warmer weather ( which is about 18-22C for very late summer-early fall at my latitude) will last into mid or late September. And also I hope we wont get cold shots in early October. Last year we had a nasty cold spell and it was only 3C on October 5th ... but then like 12C in mid November. Ideally, I'd like 12-15C in early to mid October. After mid October I don't really care about the temperature, as its not gonna go much above 10C anyways, but I would prefer no snow before the holiday season starts.
