I was just scrolling through my weather app and saw some amazingly cold temperatures in the forecast. I then looked on Weather.com and saw that there's apparently there's a big polar vortex happening right now. There are some insanely cold temperatures that will occur soon, like -51°F in Yellowknife, NT, with a possible -80°F windchill or lower, -24°F in Grand Forks, MN, -27°F in Embarrass, MN, 16°F in Dallas, Texas, -36°F in Saskatoon, SK, -33°F, in Edmonton, AB, etc. I can't wait to see some awesome lows very soon!

Here in the Seattle area we are supposed to get down to about 23F next week, the lowest so far this year, but still not too bad. We have had years when it got as low as 10F.
Haven't seen a forecast that low in Yellowknife, ever.
Yelloknife's low was -40F yesterday, so that forecast overstimated, at least for that single day.
