March is a very volatile month here. We've seen blizzard and even hot spells. Lowest temp ever recorded officially in Chicago is -12F and warmest is 88F. In 1930 we had a 19" snowstorm (actually 22 inches at Midway airport). We've had strong tornadoes and violent thunderstorms too.

March was our most active month with cold and bad weather when we had real winters. Look at March 13th 1993. Now we are lucky to have two cooler months a year now.

Starting out foggy. Probably a reason the forecast has been reduced a bit. Might hit 75. Just hope it warms up to 60 in an hour or two.
Temps across the next 2 weeks have also been dropped slightly

Made it up to 78! Beautiful day. We're not "humid" by any means but that is the sort of air mass we're in right now. Strong southerly winds all day.

I predict less than an inch of precipitation for March and April combined in addition to it being a record cold spring.
