April was unusually warm and dry here in the Pacific Northwest. Western Washington and northwestern Oregon are now listed as D0 (Abnormally Dry) by the US Drought Monitor, with no appreciable rain in sight. Of course that's better than the situation in the Southwest, which is mostly listed as D3 (Extreme Drought) to D4 (Exceptional Drought). In total, nearly 1/10 of the US is in Exceptional Drought. Yikes!

ORD hit 85F MDW 84F and I hit 80 degrees today. It was a nice Greek Orthodox Easter weekend.

April was warmer and drier than average here

Could see some storms tomorrow but rainfall output has been greatly diminished according to the latest model run

I think my night 30s are done unless we get some deep digging happening which it can happen still.

Nor'Easter Friday-Saturday?

GFS says its close. Canadian says its far.
Euro says jet stream doesn't dig down as much and the weak storm comes from Ohio valley not the south off the coast.

Shown here are the GFS and Canadian.

Second half of May could be very active in my neck of the woods.

This looks warm and stormy with a deep trough in the west and a jet right over me.

Upper 60s and unsettled right now in SE PA and one day of 80 degrees tomorrow, 75 degrees Wednesday and then the mid 60s for the rest of the week.
I was listening to the news about Alabama's tornado outbreak. I was wondering when and where the tornado season would finally start. 30 year low for tornadoes in April. 73 confirmed.
