1 Garden Bed done. I have 1 more to clean and fix up.

Still too early to do anything although soil temp now in mid 50s. Should be dropping back to 40s in 1-2 weeks though.

I added weed blocker and mulch down on one side. Just Cardboard and pavers on the other. Tired of pulling weeds so this will save me a ton of time

Garlic doing good

Great Pics from Mystic Beach.!

The warmth put us at 3-4 weeks ahead of schedule but with the freezing temps coming it should balance out the other way now.

Lilacs waking up. Usually don't until after mid April

Garlic

Mamaroneck, NY. Not sure what type of tree it is but its one of the first ones to bloom and not many of them around.

How it looks over the NY border in CT. The "Red Tint" definitely apparent in person but not in the photo. lol

My soil temps back down to mid 40s. Was in mid 50s couple days ago. 44.4°.

Actually colder than previous 3 yrs for this date now.

Note in 2018(blue) and 2020(green) we barely had a rising trend before end of April. Soil stayed under 50° for most part

Our Forsythias just started opening. You're about 1.5 weeks ahead of us here.

But we just hit a wall. Coldest April since 2003. This will slow the progress down a bit. We were too far ahead anyway with that warmth we had

Soil temp collapsed. Back to Early-Mid March levels. 2018 was colder

Garlic not liking the 30s today and the 20s at night. I covered the greens that sprouted

Pots and a tarp. I feel better now

It ended up staying 2 degrees warmer than the open areas.

Dang, I didn't realize the soil temperatures could fluctuate that much. We're paying back now for that low 80s we got teased with in late March - I have a sinking feeling we're going to get another slow leaf-out in the Northeast just like last year. Hopefully we're at least done with sub-30F lows in southeast PA

Yesterday was rainy with mid-winter temperatures of about 7°C. Nevertheless spring is still in full swing.

Flags at half mast because of the death of Prince Philip.

Somebody had left a bouquet at the Queen Victoria statute.

Green and grey.

Tulips are out.

Most trees are very close to leafing if they haven't yet. I think these are Horse Chestnuts?

Beacon Hill Park.

Ducks and peacocks.

Neighbourhood of Fairfield.
