And just think Jammie, you're only 5 months away from your first flakes and likely 6 months from your first storm Just remember you really did seem to luck out this winter with the snow, your temps were another story.
Yea, it's not fun. Our average snowfall is about 31 inches and we only had about half of that until our last snowstorm. That put us pretty close to average for the season. Our temps is what has been making these past 9 months miserable. Right now our average is supposed to be 68 degrees and I doubt that we'll hit 50 today AGAIN.
EH, sorry to hear that you'll have to replant your garden. I was going to plant flowers today, but after hearing the Hills may get a rain/snow mix, I decided I had better wait. Their weather seems to wander this way.
I woke up to a white ground this morning where I live in East Grand Forks MN-Grand Forks ND. It melted by 11 am...but still it was 30 degrees at 8 am with snow and north winds of 25 mph. Not May 10th weather for sure. Not record breaking...but this doesnt occur every May either. Having a cooler than normal spring....trees trying to bud out but being very slow about it....no real leaves yet.
We woke up to a 1/2 inch of snow on our deck this morning which melted quickly when the sun came out briefly. We've had flurries on and off all day but not really sticking (mountains west of Boulder CO).
You know, the white, fluffy stuff that falls from the sky for a few months during winter. Makes everything white, and you can ski/snowmobile/sled on it? Ring a bell? No, you say? Then maybe you can remember this snowfall in LAS VEGAS? http://icons-pe.wunderground.com/dat...asdealer/3.jpg

It's now the 12th of May. It's 1:40 in the morning. I decided to go outside and see what's going on, maybe view some stars. It's snowing. Ground is warm so nothing is sticking, but still the white stuff is falling out of the sky. haha
