This will be the second climate battle in a 4-part series. Each battle features 1 fictional climate inspired by each of the 4 anime series I used for inspiration. Feel free to rate, and vote for the climate you would most enjoy/least hate living in! Unlike series 1- which featured 4 outlandish climates with very high diurnal, day-to-day, and/or seasonal temperature variation- this climate battle consists of 4 climates with average and record temperatures more typical of real-world oceanic or oceanic-adjacent climates.

Spoiler
I used to make a ton of fictional climates when I was a teenager, but grew out of it during college. In 2014-2015 I watched 4 anime series my college friends recommended, and was inspired to make 4 sets of 4 fictional climates based on each anime. Thought I'd share them with this forum now.

Anime #1 is a sci-fi anime set in Tokyo during summer 2010, Anime #2 is a murder mystery anime set in 1980s rural Japan, Anime #3 is set in a post-apocalyptic fictional universe, and Anime #4 is based on a slice-of-life visual novel that I have no interest in playing and will not describe further. I'll let the Japanese pop culture enthusiasts guess what they are. NOTE: Climate #1 doesn't necessarily correspond to Anime #1, Climate #2 doesn't necessarily correspond to Anime #2, etc.

Mild Climate #1: SoftEgaoRegen

Relatively sunny tropical/subtropical highland plateau, at between 1000-2500 m above sea level. Rainfall during the summer monsoon is frequent but light, supporting a natural vegetation of mixed woodland/meadows/riparian forest in flat areas, with chapparral/scrub in the surrounding hills.

Mild Climate #2: Die Flvgel der Freiheit

Generic oceanic climate located at latitude ~50 in the middle of a low-lying, maritime continent. Natural vegetation is mixed temperate forest similar to what exists in Central Europe.

Mild Climate #3: Nipaa

Relatively dry montane region in the interior of a quasi-maritime peninsula on the poleward side of a U or W-shaped continent. The peninsula is 200-300 kilometers wide at the widest point, and the interior uplands are high enough to cause a significant rain shadow effect. Natural vegetation is montane grassland/meadows/shrubs with occasional coniferous trees.

Mild Climate #4: Inside the Dream

Pole-facing coastal area with an abruptly rising coastal escarpment at ~35 latitude, cooled by frequent onshore winds and upwelling. Natural vegetation is a mosaic of lush green fynbos and laurel forest similar to the South Africa Eastern Cape, or possibly the Azores.

Inside the Dream.
SoftEgaoRegen is nice but the summer rain would make it seem cool at those temps.
Die Flügel der Freiheit is fairly miserably cool.
Nipaa is not a mild climate.
Inside the Dream is the best, I like the warm summers and mild winters but I don't like the dullness.

Nipaa is as mild as a borderline humid continental/humid subtropical climate can get. The analogous climate from Battle #1 had very abrupt shoulder seasons and insanely hot summers.

I'm a bit surprised people are picking Inside the Dream over SoftEgaoRegen. SoftEgaoRegen's summers are cooler, less humid, and sunnier despite the rain.

SoftEgaoRegen has best summers and precipitation pattern, but too warm in winter. Grade: A-.
Die Flügel der Freiheit is too sunny in summer and too cloudy in winter, but is most likely to have low UV index. Also summer night too chilly. Grade: A-.
Nipaa has best winters (although they are a bit too gloomy), but summers are a bit too warm and sunny. Grade: A-.
Inside the Dream has best sunshine distribution, but a bit too warm year-round. Grade: A-.
So, I will choose SoftEgaoRegen.
