About the warmest Nov ever. The last few have been blazing above normal. 20 days of above normal temps and thanks to the cane i had over 3.5" of rain. If not for the cane i would have had about nothing.
November was much wetter than average, and a little milder than average. The first half was generally milder and the drier half of the month. The second half was very unsettled, and cooler. It was my first November here to have no air frosts recorded in the month at all. There were no particularly interesting weather events during the month.

Apparently they got 13cm of snow too. My yard most definitely did not. I'd say we got 2-3cm at most. This is more in line with Hamilton Airport which got 3.7cm.
November 2022 really has been a tale of contrasts throughout the Northern Territoy, particularly in the Deep North.
The first half of November saw a prolonged severe heatwave in the Eastern, Western and Northern Top End. Also an unseasonal dry period, with some sites running at record levels for max temps and drought. An active phase of the MJO ( The Madden-Julian Oscillation ) during the last week of November delivered heavy rains across the Top End.
Darwin Airport came in above average for both max and min temps, the first half of November was averaging +35c maxes and 27c mins, c/w dp's 25c-26c....the build up is a brutal time of the year !
Central Australia, particularly around Alice Springs has had a very cool November with both max and min temps well below average. And wetter in the Alice with 50mm of rain recorded at the Airport.
The Eastern Top End suffered under extreme heat and prolonged drought throughout November, with Gove Airport recording well above average max and min temps.
Strangely enough, Gove Airport ended up with the 6th wettest November since 1944, with a downpour of 116mm on the last 2 days of the month.
Max High Temp: 75F (11/5)
Min High Temp: 34F (11/19)

Total Rain Days: 8
Monthly Snow: Trace
Monthly Avg. 0.9
It was a tail of two halves. The first half of the month was a blow torch where we were nearly 13!!! degrees above average and then the 2nd half came crashing down with a few decent cold waves to help bring the overall average to basically normal. That's the "fun" part about living in this region this time of year. Could be 60s and 70s one day and then next thing you know its 25 and there's 6 inches of snow on the ground!
