I was bored yesterday, so I found a list of the largest urban areas in the world. For every urban agglomeration with over 5 million people, I found the mean yearly average temperature, mean temp of hottest month, mean temp of coldest month, yearly average precipitation, average precipitation of high-sun months, and average precipitation of low-sun months. If I wanted to I could have weighted the cities, making more populous ones contribute more to the mean, but I didn't because I was too lazy.
Here are my results:

The climate of the average city would be Cfa.

The average yearly temperature is 19.9°C/67.9°F

The average temperature of the hottest month is 26.9°C/80.5°F

The average temperature of the coldest month is 12.3°C/54.2°F

The yearly precipitation is 1,111.5mm/43.76in

69.5% of precipitation would fall in the high-sun months, making it pretty close to a Cwa climate.

You can see the influence of the abundance of Chinese and Indian cities on this climate, judging by how much more precipitation falls in summer.

I haven't found many cities with very similar climates to this one, but the closest one I've found so far is maybe Houston.

This is really awesome! I always wondered about how to work out like the global average climate for populated areas. This obviously isn't a perfect representation but its still a great effort and closer than anything I could think of! Thanks <3

The closest match I could find is Santa Fe, Argentina:

The average yearly temperature is 18.9°C/66.0°F

The average temperature of the hottest month is 25.8°C/78.4°F

The average temperature of the coldest month is 11.5°C/52.7°F

The yearly precipitation is 1,020.7mm/40.19in

70.3% of precipitation falls in the high-sun months (October-March)

Nearby Reconquista, Argentina also comes close. I couldn't find as good a match in Australia, but Toowoomba, Queensland came the closest.

Nice! I like how the resulting climate is pretty realistic.
