Nice comparison. Always tough for same region to get same pattern year over year. So I assume somewhere else had a reverse comparison? (more this year than last year)

11C/19C and 91mm of rain here yesterday - nary a skerrick of snow left on the hills, which got much higher amounts of rain

Yep, although winter is pretty green here.

Happy to say that there was a good snowfall last night, down to about a 1000 metres.

Currently 13C and clear skies at 11:12am, heading for a high of 15C.

The largest city of the southern hemisphere, São Paulo, had a low of -2.3⁰C in a wheater station today, outside the heat island. Frost could be seen in a lot of parts of the city.
