How do you personally feel a warmer us climate would affect the location of the subtropical and also the polar jet streams?
I would like to know what other fellow C-D members on the weather forum think would happen to the position of the jet streams but especially the southern branch of the jet stream aka the subtropical jet? Discuss
I imagine it would move poleward? It supposedly marks the boundary between the Hadley (tropical) and Ferrell (temperate) cells.
Assuming the streams reacted in such a way to a warmer climate it’s possible…….although I don’t think it would be technically “Proper” to refer to it as such if it were to move further north….
I guess this must be a pretty cliche thread to not have even gotten a single response. Someone please get a moderator to close the darn thing.
Now you know how I feel. If viewpoint is not part of the majority thinking you get ignored now it's worse since you know who is President. Censorship is on super hard boots down. Pretty much the lyrics to 'Silent Night' can now get you banned for breaking an obscure rule.

I think that the position would probably remain unchanged. In addition to this, I predict a severely reduced return flow of gulf moisture for the Midwest and especially for the Great Plains during spring and summer, along with a super potent polar vortex during the winter, which would translate into severe prolonged drought in the growing season and unprecedented arctic outbreaks during the winter for the plains and Midwest.
