I'm sliding between A and B, because I know that in that region of the US it can get bitterly cold, but... That's better than suffocating heat most of the year like where I live.

I looked up a nearby city and tornadoes are rare there, that's a BIG plus, and made me give it an A.

It gets an A for climate, but the town itself is an F for being horribly economically depressed.

I prefer Vilas County, WI a bit to the southeast, very similar climate, with temperatures a bit colder and snowfall a bit less.

I give it a D. Not a fan of such cold, continental winters. But the summer weather is sufficiently warm/enjoyable enough to save it from F.

C- for me - too cold for too long, and a dismal rainfall/rain day ratio.
