Much warmer today in fact +30 degrees warmer than yesterday

Staying quite mild for the upcoming week

East Coast blizzard in 10 days? All three models are showing something brewing. Too early though

The Canadian model has a big snowstorm for us next Friday. I won't hold my breath but could happen.

Looks like cold air comes back around the 19th of the month

Blizzard of rain seems much more likely.

Hoping this February will repeat the good of February 2015. The parts that should not be repeated are the Carolinas getting wooped bad and the freak tropical Florida frost in the Everglades, but the good parts of using up the cold air to prevent a March backload and most of my list getting let off not particularly hard (even let off easy for some places) is something that pattern could repeat.

Yup. Insane winter. I usually have over 15" of snow by now for the season... only 1.6" so far. Pathetic

Yeah pretty much

Next 10 days will be milder than normal

Europe is seeing a pretty good cold spell. Especially in the southeast

Of course the pattern is going to change to cold once spring is here

I don't. I don't want 90's in Feb like we saw in 2015.

In spite of the extreme cold the Rideau canal still isn't open for skating. It is already three days past the previous latest opening on record which was Feb.2

That's surprising - the Grand River in Kitchener was frozen in many sections and Ottawa is usually colder. It has been a very mild winter aside from 2 days though.
