I've tried googling this, but I can't find an answer. In short, what I want to know is which hemisphere is more tilted towards the sun at its summer solstice. For instance, is the northern hemisphere more tilted towards the sun in June than the southern hemisphere is tilted towards the sun in December? Or is the southern hemisphere more tilted towards the sun in December than the northern hemisphere is tilted towards the sun in June?

It's exactly the same, which is why the equator is where it is, its the earths angle at the time of both the Summer and Winter solstice that gives us the equator rather than the other way around ie how do we know where the 'middle' of the globe (equator) is? By measuring the halfway point between the 'tilt'.

Both hemispheres are tilted towards/away from the sun at the same angle at the solstice. However, the Earth is closer and farther away from the Sun at different times of year.

The Earth is closest to the sun in early January and furthest away in early July, which means the Southern Hemisphere has more seasoanl variation in insolation (solar radiation).
