According to NOAA data, the 1940s had more hurricanes hit the US than any decade, and last decade's total of 19 was lower than most decades in the late 19th century. We keep hearing about more frequent hurricanes due to climate change, but so far it hasn't happened in spite of higher levels of CO2 in the atmosphere.

As the planet super heats the upper levels get tooooo hot and with much less lift we have much less storms. Plus with less rain over much of the planet we see more dust that also kills tropical action.

The climate change activists have been saying the exact opposite.

The hurricanes we do have are likely to be stronger due to higher water temperatures imparting more energy into the storms.

Well if you look at my track record and theirs you will see i am much more right. They don't know jack. The planet will just start to burn away and with much less rain we will see much more dust and dust dries out the upper levels and kills tropical action.

No, not true.

"The first big problem with G19 is that it purports to say something about climatological trends in hurricanes, but it uses no actual climate data on hurricanes. That’s right, it instead uses data on economic losses from hurricanes to arrive at conclusions about climate trends. "

I think you are right from 2003-2022 we have had 15 cat 5 hurricanes. Eight just since 2016. Previous 20 years (1983-2002) four.

Dangerous hurricanes are more frequent.

Overall, the changes have been fairly minor. A bit fewer hurricanes, but they're a bit stronger. Total hurricane energy hasn't changed much.
