Loop past 4hrs.

4-6" snowfall reports around Philly-Baltimore-DC area.
4.4" at Egg Harbor NJ coast.

Back edge of the moderate snow approaching PA/NJ border now

994mb Low about 350 miles SE off the NJ coast

To see the inverted trough you have to look for the "backwards bump"

See that bump in the surface isobars? Thats inverted and where the heaviest snows fall. Thats why NYC missed out on this event

It snowed today in Tampa in 1977. Looking like a super heat up coming later next week.

Current temps this morning. #ArcticBlast Teens here. Below freezing in the south again.

Another look using just 3 colors. Majority of Lower 48 is below freezing. Pink = Below 0°F

6 days in a row below freezing. 1 inch of snow from 5 days ago hasn't melted. lol. Pretty much no sun.

Been snowing here with no break that I know of since Thursday. We didn’t get the worst of the arctic blast or whatever it’s called, but I can’t see the roads. Others don’t seem bothered by that, but I ain’t going to work like that.

I picked up another 3.5 inches of snow as of 7 am, bringing this storm’s total to 4.8 in. We currently have 8 inches on the ground due to the first storm earlier this week, which brought a total of 4.7 in.

Just these two storms together have given us more snow than we got in last year’s entire winter.

It is currently 8F now with today’s forecast high of only 11F.
