4pm temps are 72F here 73F at ORD and 74F at Midway airport under mostly sunny skies. Great spring day. Similar tomorrow but with some storm chances. Then cooler but still above normal mid week

We've been socked in fog over the past two days in Southern Ontario while everyone outside the region is enjoying sunshine and warmer temps

Certainly not a great spring day as it is far too warm with vegetation coming out too early. It will be freeze dried once the pattern finally shifts with the dissipating El Niño next month.

Broke records around here for todays date. Just to note, it hit 72 degrees in NYC on March 5th, 1880. 60s and 70s do happen in March.. not often but it feels great when it does.

Yup, only hit 49F/9.5C here. Tomorrow should make up for it if all goes well though.

True but its very typical to get large swings in temps in March here. Maybe not usually in the 70s this early but easily 50s and 60s. The 70s usually can appear for a few days at the end of March.

In the city’s lakefront parks and recreation areas, on average, you can expect the season’s first 70-degree day April 9. About 6 miles inland, March 26, and March 24 about 10 miles inland.

Midway actually topped out at 74F today.

Judah Cohen thinks the breakdown of the PV will give North America one more blast of winter towards the end of March and into early April. Can easily snow here in April. No doubt.

Notice what's happening? It's subtle. The core of the positive anomalies are starting to lift north. Could be a sign of high latitude blocking down the road

And the long range as of now suggests a cool April

That orange off the ocean suggests a summerlike event just ending. FWIW, we did get a summerlike first 8 days of April in 2010. The next 3 weeks were cool, then we had record breaking warmth on the weekend of May 1-2.

10am temps 63F here, 64F at Midway and officially 62F at ORD. Pretty crazy for a March 4th morning.

Cold front coming tonight. Maybe some strong storms around

By tomorrow the high temps will drop by 20 degrees
