Live Oak, Florida: April, May, October, and November 2020. This is one of the most bizarre in my opinion.

May 13, a day with an average low of about 17C, dipped all the way down to 3C, setting the all-time record low and meaning ground frost in Florida in mid May! This might not be a particularly big swing vs the average low, but it is notable because it happened at a time of year when the extremely stable seasonal trade winds are setting in over North Florida, usually preventing low sun season-style swings.

Also, that 3C was 5C colder than the monthly minimum for April, 9C colder than the monthly minimum for October, 2C colder than the monthly minimum for November, and at least 1C colder than every daily minimum in March after the 7th.

Wow, is the Texas heatwave making lots of opportunities for this thread!

Today's highs are going to be in the 30s in DFW and all February 27 probably won't get below 15-20C depending on the place. Yet tomorrow (February 28)'s lows are going to be in the 6-7C range and highs in the low double digits (colder than today's lows).

New Orleans Airport, January and February 2018.

January 2018 was 14/4C (over 3C below normal) with 24/-7C as the extremes, whereas February 2018 was 24/16C (nearly 6C above normal) with 29/7C as the extremes. In this case the swings were wild enough for the record low of February 2018 to be warmer than the January 2018 average low and almost as warm as the mean.

Brooksville Airport, March 2015.

March 28-30 were 19/7C, 22/5C, and 24/4C. These came after there being no temperatures below 9C since February 21 and 20 consecutive tropical days from March 8-27.

For reference Brooksville's March 2015 (28/14C, 32/4C extremes) was pretty similar to the average January/February temperatures in many South Florida places. It can be viewed as akin to the temperature swings these marginal tropical climates get.
