This is similar to the thread about the most wild temperature swings, although it's more general purpose. You may comment any example of wild temperature swings here.
I'll start off with some Southeast US examples, as I'm sure everyone was expecting.

-Tallahassee Challenger Learning Center, March 2015. A month with an average high of 24C had a day (March 6) with a 9.7C high, which came immediately after 4 consecutive days with 24-26C highs: https://www.wunderground.com/dashboa...-03-18/monthly

-Charleston Airport, January 2024. This all happened in a week:

1/20: 7/-3C
1/21: 7/-5C
1/22: 16/-5C
1/23: 19/10C
1/24: 25/17C
1/25: 26/17C
1/26: 28/17C

-Beaumont (Texas), January 2022. New Year's Day was 28/23C, followed by 7/-2C on January 3.

-Gainesville Airport, November and December 2023. November 28-30 were 3C/2C/1C, followed by December 2 and 3 which had lows of 18C and 21C.

-Augusta Daniel Field, March and April 2015. March 29 2015 had a low of 3C prior to the entire month of April never dipping below 11C.

-Savannah Airport, January 2015. January 4 was 25/16C followed 4 days later by 2/-7C on January 8.

-College Station Airport, January 2023. A month with a 19C average high had 2 days (January 30 and 31) with a 5C high and a 2C high.

Ah yes, I remember experiencing that in my neck of the woods. That's actually kind of similar to what happened with Charleston Airport this January, just with colder nights.

I was technically in Oakville still when it happened, where the nights were warmer, but they were warmer both during the cold and warm periods, so the overall pattern was the same.

Some more examples I found:

-Tallahassee Airport, October and November 2020. October 2020 never got below 10C, then November 3 2020 had a 3C ground frost, but was then followed by 1 week from November 6-12 that never dipped below 19C.

-Del Rio Airport, March 2023. March 16 had a 33C high but March 18 only had a 9C high.

-Jacksonville Naval Air Station, November 2014. One week was as follows:

11/18: 14/5C
11/19: 13/2C
11/20: 19/1C
11/21: 21/6C
11/22: 24/15C
11/23: 27/20C
11/24: 31/21C

I was in Barrow once when it was minus 45 degrees. And at the very same time it was plus 45 degrees in Anchorage. 90 degrees difference. I thought that was quite a gradient, then I realized the miles involved. 725 miles by air. So maybe not a big deal.

But the biggest actual swing I encountered was in Darwin, Australia one October in the 1990s. Don't remember the actual numbers, just miffed because the AC only worked when the room key was in the AC unit. Morning temps were quite chilly, but by late afternoon over 100 F and seemed much hotter than that in the room when we returned.

While it doesn't happen anywhere near the frequency it does in AUS, still we can experience some truly wild swings here during spring/summer from time to time. This one was particularly noteworthy, in the north of the country back in 1938:

Las Lomitas Aero, 10-11th January (austral summer)

10/1: 9am ------> 32°C
10/1:15pm ------> 40.2°C
10/1:19pm ------> 38.7°C
10/1:21pm ------> 37.6°C
11/1: 9am ------> 13.7°C
11/1:15pm ------> 12.9°C
11/1:19pm ------> 12.2°C
11/1:21pm ------> 11.7°C

I'd imagine it could happen in a number of arid to semi-arid locations in mid latitudes (35-55 deg). When Lytton was under the 2021 heat dome, it was similar.

Mid 30s highs at the start of June, to 20C highs and a 5C low in the second week of June, before ratcheting up the heat to 49.6C on June 30 (with a still relatively cool 20.8C low).
https://climate.weather.gc.ca/climat...44&timeframe=2

Then in late July/early August

Jul 30: 42.0/16.2
Jul 31: 28.4/18.4
Aug 1: 22.7/18.2
Aug 2: 35.4/18.2
Aug 3: 40.2/18.5

Saskatoon gets 30C swings within 48 hours fairly often
0.9C - 4am June 21, 2021
24.5C - 6pm June 21, 2021
29.8C - 2pm, June 22, 2021

Maple Creek, SK saw a 63.7C swing in half a month
-30.1/-42.6C Jan 14, 2024
-11.1/-30.2C Jan 19, 2024
6.8/-6.7C Jan 23, 2024
21.1/1.8C Jan 30, 2024
-4.9/-15.6C Feb 5, 2024

As you may have figured out from my inclusion of several places in it, Texas has some examples of that kind of thing too.

-The state in general during the February 1996 whiplash of a massive Arctic blast and a massive winter heatwave - we are talking a range of low single digits/high double digits negative C to mid-high 30s C.
Biggest extremes difference I could find was Kerrville. -13C on February 4 to 36C on February 22 for a 49C difference. Edit: Not entirely Texas but Wichita Falls (-16C to 34C), Oklahoma City (-19C to 33C), and Wichita (-22C to 31C) all have it beat.

-Austin February 2022 dropped in 1 day from 31C to 0C: https://www.city-data.com/forum/weat...d-largest.html

-My Beaumont example bears reiteration here, in my opinion. The high being 16C colder than the daily low of 2 days before is just this kind of tier.
