Minneapolis has the coldest Winter out of all of them.

Seattle has the darkest and wettest Winter out of all of them.

Boston followed by Chicago have the snowiest Winters out of all them.

Chicago gets the most wind and often gets brutal windchills of -30 degrees Celsius. The lake effect snow can cause some very nasty blizzards which can also happen in Detroit

Denver is located at a very high altitude (1700 meters above sea level) and can very occasionally get snowfall in May. So can Minneapolis though. However, Denver can see many Winter days above +20 degrees Celsius.

...

My vote goes to Denver since Denver has the sunniest and driest Winters out of all of these cities.

Although Seattle (by far) has the warmest Winter out of these cities, the dark skies, lack of sunlight and constant cold rainfall can often cause depression in majority of people. This is known as Seasonal Affective Disorder.

I also threw in New York City here since the largest US city also gets blizzards. However, people in NYC are much more prepared to handle a snow or ice storm than people in Seattle are.

I wanted to include large US cities with an area population of more than 3 million.

Seattle for sure. It stays green all winter and the only city on your list that can grow palm trees without protection.

I've been to Seattle in early March, I've seen some palms covered in wraps.

I'd say either New York or Denver.

Certainly some tender species but no windmill palm would need a wrap in Seattle.

Denver, closely followed by Seattle. But New York isn't too bad either.

You'll probably get some cold lovers in here who think Minneapolis is the only decent winter

None of those places have winters that are particularly crappy. A crappy winter would be one like Miami or San Diego, since they don't get any real winter weather like snow or cold blasts.

If you meant to ask which one of these has the BEST winter, then answer is undoubtedly Minneapolis.

Chicago has the ideal winters.

Average temperatures near 23 F / -5 C (cold but not TOO cold), plenty of snow, gets extreme cold and mild spells.
