So many of the potential northern light viewings here have been cloudy nights, so it will be a welcome chance if the eclipse is on a sunny day.

I'll be in NF (CA) also, arriving on Saturday. Right now they're forecasting high 50s, partly sunny. Fingers crossed!

The Ohio weather forecast for Monday April 8 is looking very good. The afternoon temps are forecast to be above 70F and skies partly cloudy. No precipitation in the forecast for April 8. Upstate New York and northern New England are also looking good.

Looking like low 50s with mix of sun & clouds now for the Ontario's Lake Erie shoreline/Niagara Region. Possibly more clouds than sun.

Where in Newfoundland? The weather looks more favorable in southwestern part of island.

I'm in Moncton at about 15 minutes away from the path of totality.

Until the last several days I wasn't even interest in the eclipse because I figured that it would be the usual April cloudy temperamental Atlantic Canada weather. Imagine my surprise after seeing the sunny forecast.

Actually some are saying Gander NL will be sunny in the afternoon since the snow that is forecasted is happening next day.

Not looking great here for the eclipse tomorrow. Hoping the clouds thin a bit to at least see something. Supposed to be around 92% totality here. Unfortunately can't take off of work and travel to the full totality area. If I could, it looks like Arkansas would be a good place to go to.

Looking dodgy when it comes to clouds in Niagara Falls, I might head down to Simcoe/Port Dover where it looks a bit more promising.

It's sunrise on April 8 in southwest Ohio, and skies are mostly clear right now. Wind is light from the south with zero precipitation in the forecast for today. Cloud cover forecast for 3 pm shows about 40 percent, which should be good enough to allow clear breaks in the sky to view the total solar eclipse. Temps will be about 72F before the eclipse, drop to 67F during the eclipse, and rise to 75F by 4 pm. It should be a very good eclipse viewing day here.
