So far this year in Maine we have had two days where the temperature has been above 60 at sunrise. Last week we had 3 days in the 40s at sunrise, the lowest being 42. We are at our camp on the lake. The loons are singing their fall song that they sing before they leave for the winter and it's only August 9. The weather has been beautiful with sun and showers. The crops are growing beautifully. Overall our seasonal rain is below normal and water levels in our wells are declining.

We have been on the lake for over 50 years and have never heard the loon's fall songs in August before. 51 years ago tonight were were on our honeymoon in a cabin on the lake. 51 years later we are still on our honeymoon in our cabin on the lake.

Don't you know Kentucky is often 100 degrees with 100% humidity? And we don't have sandy soil either.
