October is generally still an OK month, especially if it is milder than average like recent ones,
At my NWS station, Oct 1st has an average high of 21.5C, and on October 31st it's 14.5C

Nothing depresses me more than the gray damp chilly days that we so often get in November. At least in the winter we are usually blanketed with snow which makes things more interesting.
