Fitting end to a record hot October. Average high MTD is 31.3C!! FIVE days exceeded 100F at a station near the town centre and 3 at the airport. Hard to believe after the whole year being below average, bar February.

Meanwhile here..

It's been very surprising and out of the blue, especially considering how every month this year has been below average (except Feb). It's 2C above November's average!!! November could well end up cooler than October. For comparison, this October's high is running only 0.2C below January 2015's average high (which was more than 2C below average, even with a 45C day in the mix - a pathetic month it was).

Forecast says 35C heat to see out the month. November will start off well below average.

November in the forecast is starting to look a bit like November 2010, which started fairly mild and ended with the 3 coldest highs in November history. It was a very cold month and was followed by the coldest December on record. Let's hope that the cold in the forecast is just a blip!

Where's the cold in the forecast? Why do you bother with these ridiculous 14 day forecasts anyway. They're a joke.

The sudden drop from mid-teens to 9c in a couple of days. That happened in 2010 and then it got even worse.

It's only in the 14 day forecast; not the 8 day forecast. 14 day forecast have low accuracy, I don't consider them meaningful.
