A strong perturbation is forecast for the next week end, we should finally see some more snow on the mountains. So that I live at an intermediate altitude, my forecast says:
- a lot of snow all over Saturday
- even more rain all over Sunday and Monday

I think that my weather site is exaggerating this time, according to this page Meteo / TANTISSIMA NEVE in arrivo sulle ALPI e PREALPI con GOLIA tra il 27 e il 28 FEBBRAIO, fino a 1 metro! Le PREVISIONI » ILMETEO.it
my area should receive an amount of snow of 70-100 cm between Saturday and Sunday (at least above a certain altitude, which is a few meters above my village). We will see, my prediction is that this forecast will soon change into something less extreme.

Some above and some below normal temps to end February. March will open a bit below normal, but then trending towards normal.

Meh, it's too late for this stuff.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, starting off a bit chilly, then just boring weather again

It has been sunny recently though, and these forecasts have been underestimating sunshine. This whole week so far has been blue skies in the daytime. Looks like we might FINALLY have an above average sunshine month, we could end up with close to 100 hours this February

Updated forecast. Third 16C+ day this month coming up? That's pretty rare for Chicago in February
