To put it into perspective, Turku's high temp in March 2014 was 6.1C. Mean temp 4.3C above average. March 2013 was 4.1C below. Here you can expect pretty much anything in March.

Last time I checked this March has been spot-on average so far. Let's hope it continues well above, like the forecast indicates right now.

Yeah, Finland's spring warming-up is due to geography the slowest in Scandinavia, but we catch the others by mid-April and overtake many Norwegian and Danish locations by mid May (as well as Scotland, Ireland and NI).

The average high right now is 2C, so a couple of 9C highs on the forecast is pretty comparable to conditions in London in March 2012. It's not record-breaking here at all, but in any case well above average. It could be a hell lot worse, and I hope you all realise that.

Anyone else find weatheronline's sunshine forecasting to be way off the mark?

I find the temperature forecasting to be good, but the sunshine forecasting is dismal - the next 8 days forecast only average 3.5 hours a day, when this is the sunniest month of the year.

Temperatures becoming more Autumnal, with a few below average days starting to appear.
