If I were you (living in London/similar climate, taking the same break & being a warmth/heat lover) the vacation would be kind of downgrade though. Gloomier weather combined with later sunrises... On the other hand civil light till 9pm would be kind of waste IMO given the relative gloominess and darkness until near 7am..
Not good for a morning person like me!

I've been in Vigo at this time of year before - 8.19 am sunrise and 9.00 pm sunset in March

Sunrise and sunset times in Vigo

Insane. Latest solar noon experience was barely over 1:10 pm (with sunrise roughly 7:10) and that was lousy enough

Adak island's timezone is crazy though, and it could be worse when you use mainland AK time (imagine waking up in a summer early morning, quite dark, and it's actually dusk outside and the darkness is getting worse, as the solar midnight is nearly 5am)

It's not really 9pm. More like 6:30.

No.

They are not on their natural timezone.

Ah, OK. I still don't see how that really matters though.

Somewhere at that latitude would not get a 9pm sunset. We are only past the equinox.
